On November 25, 2021, a group of 52 students and teachers from the 6th Primary School of Haicheng District, Beihai City, visited WHITR-AP to carry out the practical education activity of “Caring for the Ocean, Protecting the Ocean”. Guided by Liu Chenghui, the students visited the Center's miniature wetland, typical marine ecosystem habitat simulation laboratory and herbarium, while listening to the explanation, which aroused the students' strong interest. The activity helped teachers and students to recognize mangroves, seagrasses and corals and understand their important roles in marine ecosystems. Through this activity, students better understood the importance of protecting the marine environment, and expressed their intention to be marine environmental protectors, protect thousands of marine creatures, and let human beings live in harmony with the ocean.
