From September 23rd to 26th, the 9th National Youth Forum and Youth Training Course of Jiusan Society was held in Hefei, Anhui Province, with the theme of “Disruptive Technological Innovation Enabling New Productivity”. Wu Weihua, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, attended the opening meeting and delivered a speech, and Liu Xiaomei, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Central Committee of the Jiusan Society and Director of the Youth Work Committee, presided over the opening meeting and delivered a closing speech. More than 100 young members from all over the country participated in the forum, among which Guangxi Jiu San sent two representatives, respectively, Liao Xin, associate researcher of Haike Academy and Lu Shuhua, researcher of Institute of Botany.

During the four days, the participants listened to a number of high-level scientific and technological reports, participated in the training of writing materials for political participation and deliberation, shared cases of excellent youth activities, showed their talents in various forms such as poem recitation and chorus to pay tribute to Deng Jiaxian and other sages of the Jiu San, and enhanced their ability to participate in political participation and deliberation by promoting the training through the competition, which demonstrated the Jiu San's spirit of patriotism, democracy, and science, and displayed the responsibility of dual-ranking to build up the success of their work and the results.

In the session of the political participation and deliberation contest, the representatives of the meeting took the group as a unit, brainstormed, gathered wisdom and polished the manuscripts. The 12 excellent manuscripts screened out from more than 90 submissions across the country entered the final competition. After the on-site roadshow and on-site scoring by experts, the competition decided one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and six excellence awards, and Liao Xin, associate researcher, took part in the submission of the manuscripts, which won the first prize.

“Gathering is a ball of fire, scattering is a star in the sky”! The organization of the forum is not simply to run an activity, but to use the activity as a carrier, to condense the heart, to collide with the sparks of thought, to promote each other and to improve together. Our scientific research workers in their own positions shine at the same time, but also actively fulfill the duties of the political party, the use of what they have learned to participate in politics and make suggestions and contribute to their own strength!
